 Happy New Year! Again!
Chinese New Year 2012 begins Jan. 23, 2012 and will usher in the Year of the Dragon until it ends on February 9, 2013.
Of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Dragon is often considered the most special, as it is the only sign that is not a real animal. It is sometimes called a karmic sign. In this context that means we can expect grand things this year. Bigger than life is very much a Dragon thing. There will be spectacular successes as well as crash and burn failures.
Now is thus the time to take a chance, to reach for the proverbial brass ring, to not only dream but act on that impossible dream. The Dragon gives you the best chance to make it come true. So write down those grand aspirations now, put it in a visible spot where you can see it every day, several times a day, and see if you can make it happen!
The Year of the Dragon is one of the most revered years of the Chinese New Year calendar, and those born under the sign are regarded as innovative, passionate people who are colorful, confident and fearless.
For those born in the year of the Dragon (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012), the key to the Dragon personality is that Dragons are the free spirits of the Zodiac and so don't do well with rules. Conformation is a Dragon's curse. Restrictions blow out the creative spark that is ready to flame into life. Dragons must be free and uninhibited. The Dragon is a beautiful creature, colorful and flamboyant. An extroverted bundle of energy, gifted and utterly irrepressible, everything Dragons do is on a grand scale - big ideas, ornate gestures, extreme ambitions. However, this behavior is natural and isn't meant for show. Because they are confident, fearless in the face of challenge, they are almost inevitably successful. Dragons usually make it to the top.
However, Dragon people must be aware of their natures. Too much enthusiasm can leave them tired and unfulfilled. Even though they are willing to aid when necessary, their pride can often impede them from accepting the same kind of help from others. Dragons' generous personalities give them the ability to attract friends, but they can be rather solitary people at heart. A Dragon's self-sufficiency can mean that he or she has no need for close bonds with other people.
Regardless of your sign, there will be significant upheavals in 2012.
